READ  || Lighting Up Progress: DILG XII inspects solar streetlights and health stations in the Municipality of Tulunan, Cotabato Province

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII, through its Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU), conducted a punch list and pre-final inspection of infrastructure projects under the Local Government Support Fund – Support to Barangay Development Program (LGSF-SBDP) 2024 last March 11-12, 2025. The inspection covered seven (7) solar-powered streetlights and three (3) Barangay Health Stations across various barangays ensuring the projects are on schedule for final approval, viz:

𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙧-𝙋𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨:
1. La Esperanza;
2. Tambac;
3. Poblacion;
4. Kanibong;
5. Gulidan;
6. Popoyon; and
7. Dungos

𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨:
1. Bunawan;
2. Damawato; and
3. Bagumbayan

PDMU Technical Engineers led the inspection to verify that each project meets the required standards and specifications — a crucial step before final acceptance and turnover to the community.
These projects aim to improve rural access to reliable street lighting and essential healthcare services, contributing to safer, healthier, and more resilient barangays.
